5 Steps To Create A Cool AIM Profile
A profile is a place to express yourself. Often times people talk about what they've been doing, or put quotes that show their true characters, or a funny conversation with a friend. These things are essential to an AIM Profile. The following are some quick suggestions followed by a step-by-step guide to coming up with your very own unique AIM Profile:

Step 1: Finding Quotes That Show Your Personality
Don't just put any random quote in your AIM Profile. A good profile has quotes that show your personality. Of course, it's always nice to put a funny quote in your profile, but don't put a quote talking about emotion if you're not an emotional person.
A good place to start looking for quotes is Quotationspage.com/. There is a Subject Index on that site, which allows you to browse quotes based on subject. I'd also reccomend looking at the Motivational quotes section and perhaps putting one of those quotes on your profile. Quotes are important since they help others to really understand what's important to you and who you are.
Step 2: Add In Intresting/Funny Conversations With Friends
I'm sure you've had many times when eaither your friend or you has said something that's hilarious. Capture that moment on your profile. Just copy and paste the IMs back and forth with your friend. Friends love to see conversations on your profile. Only include the parts of your conversation that are funny/intersting of course. You don't want to bore them with the whole thing.
Step 3: Make Your Profile Visually Appealing
Color is important! No one like to see a black and white page. But it's important to pick the right colors. A silver background with gold text is very hard to read. Make sure the colors you pick are not only legabile but also look nice together.
Step 4: Add Interactivity To Your Profile
No one wants a boring profile. After you've picked the right colors, it's time to make your profile interactive. I'd suggest signing up for a buddy tracker service. The buddy tracker service would give you code to put on your profile. That code would create a link, and when one of your friends click the link there screen name will be recorded. The cool thing is your friends can see everyone else who viewed your profile too. Some people don't like this, but I think it's actually very good. Both have their pros and cons. I'd just pick one and stick with it.

After you've found quotes, intresting or funny conversations, picked out pretty colors for your text, and adding a buddy tracker to make your profile interactive, here's the last thing you should do to make your profile really cool :) - add a counter. A counter is basically something that increments every time someone views your profile. So if 5 people viewed your profile, the counter would say 5 people viewed your profile. People will come back to your profile to see how many other people have viewed your profile. And the AIM Counter displays right on your profile; you don't have to click any links to see it.
